‘143’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 4 March, 2022

Sharda Films Productions’ 143 (Marathi; A) is a love story. Vishu (Yogesh Bhosale) and Madhu (Sheetal Ahirrao) are in love with one another. Vishu wants to study and earn a lot of money. On the other hand, Madhu is a happy-go-lucky girl. What happens when Madhu’s father (Suresh Vishwakarma) gets to know of the love story of his daughter? Does the love drama have a happy ending?

Dr. Bhalchandra Gaikwad has written a very routine story which abounds in clichés and predictable twists and turns. His screenplay offers very little novelty and, therefore, becomes boring after a point of time. Gaikwad’s dialogues are routine.

Yogesh Bhosale does an average job as Vishu. Sheetal Ahirrao is so-so in the role of Madhu. Suresh Vishwakarma lends routine support as Madhu’s father, Rangnathrao. Shashank Shende makes his presence felt as Vishu’s father. Vrushabh Shah is okay as Aananta.

Yogesh Pandurang Bhosale’s direction is dull. Music (P. Shankaram) is nothing to shout about. Lyrics (Amitabh Aarya and Lakhan Chaudhary) pass muster. R. Kalai Kumar’s song picturisations are routine. Vikas Singh’s camerawork is fair. S. Vikraman’s editing is loose.

On the whole, 143 is a flop fare.
