The police on May 3 filed an FIR against singer Sonu Nigam in Bangalore for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Kannadigas. According to a Kannada activist’s complaint, when the audience in Bangalore asked the singer to sing Kannada songs, he allegedly said, such an attitude had led to Pahalgam carnage. Referring to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Nigam said,”Kannada, Kannada, Kannada. The same led to Pahalgam.”
