The second part of the Padma Awards ceremony was held on March 28 in Delhi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the awards to the honourees from various fields.
Among the film people honoured this year were veteran actress Sowcar Janaki (Padma Shri), singers S.P. Balasubrahmanyam (Padma Shri posthumously), Sonu Nigam (Padma Shri) and Sulochana Chavan (Padma Shri), filmmaker Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi (Padma Shri), actor Victor Banerjee (Padma Bhushan) and actress and culinary expert Madhur Jaffrey (for her culinary skills; Padma Bhushan).
