C.R. Films’ Sakshi (A) is a horror drama.
Virat and Prachi are engaged to be married. But Virat shifts to a new city where he meets Sakshi and falls in love with her. Matters get complicated when Prachi and Sakshi come face-to-face.
Vikas Giri has written a very weak story and an equally terrible screenplay so that the drama offers absolutely nothing which can be considered novel or fresh. Even his dialogues are commonplace, to say the least.
Madhumita Biswas is dull and fails to impress. Vikram Mastal is hardly hero material. Gehana Vasisth does a routine job. Yugansh Juneja barely passes muster. Performances of the other artistes are mostly weak.
Ajay Ram’s direction is kiddish — and that’s putting it mildly. Music (Asif Iqbal and Swaroop Khan) is hardly engaging. Lyrics (by Jameel Ahmed and Kunal) are more functional than anything else. Song picturisations (Ravi Akhade) are nothing to shout about. Venkat Mahesh’s camerawork is dull. Sets (Ajeet Kashyap) hardly deserve separate mention. Vikas Pawar’s editing is loose.
On the whole, Sakshi is such a dull fare that it will go largely unnoticed.
Released on 12-2-’21 at PVR Kurla (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Aries Films. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over. Opening was dull everywhere.
