Hours after Tamil film director Mohan G. was arrested by the Trichy district police for his remarks about the alleged adulteration of Palani panchamirtham with tablets, including contraceptive pills, a Trichy court released him on bail on September 24 as proper arrest procedure was not followed.
Mohan had claimed in an interview to a YouTube channel that he had heard that tablets causing impotency and contraceptive pills were mixed with the panchamirtham at the Palani temple. He had also raised suspicions about the destruction of a huge quantity of the prasadam.
