‘TIRSAAT’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 20 May, 2022

Classic One Films’ Tirsaat (Marathi; UA) is the story of unrequitted love and how the dejected lover tries to woo his beloved after rejection. Balu (Niraj Suryakant) becomes suicidal after being rejected by Sami (Tejaswini Shirke), the love of his life. Balu’s father decides to help him survive the heartbreak and teaches him ways to win back his love.

Dinesh Kirve has written a story which does not excite or engage the viewers. His screenplay is so boring and dull that the audience does not even feel like rooting for Balu. Kirve’s dialogues are ordinary.

Niraj Suryakant is unimpressive as Balu. Tejaswini Shirke is so-so as Sami. Omkar Yadav lends average support in the role of Nilya. Sujit Choure (as Vinya) and Vivek Yadav (as Chetya) are ordinary. Yatin Karyekar has his moments as Pawar Saheb. Pallavi Ghule is okay as Mani. Shruti Ubale is alright in the role of Swara.

Pradeep Tonge and Mangesh Shendge’s direction is below the mark. P. Shankaram’s music passes muster. Vikas Singh does an ordinary job of the camerawork. Ajit Pawar’s art direction hardly deserves mention. Editing (Mangesh Bhimraj Jondhale and Akash Vishnu Shinde) is loose.

On the whole, Tirsaat is a poor show all the way.

Released on 20-5-’22 at Movie Time Goregaon (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Box Hit Movies. Publicity & opening: poor.
